Well the President should look into replacing his BES Admin - or whoever is uninformed enough to make such a rediculous statement. Through IT Policy the President’s BlackBerry could be restricted to ALL functionality with the exception of data connections to his Email system (presumably Exchange or some other standard Enterprise email system). That means no SMS, MMS, personal email, PIN, even no SD card. Just his email, address book, calendar, tasks, and notes all synced to the official email server.
Who’s making these decisions anyway??!!

And I agree with JerryD…there are ways to work around it and still comply with accountability issues. Mr. Obama had his Blackberry all during the campaign and even before. If he has to give it up, we will have a President going through “Berry-withdrawal”!!!
