Bringing a BlackBerry to the beach may seem like a very relaxing thing to do: lay on the sand, check out Celebrity BlackBerry Sightings on your BlackBerry, and go through your never ending amount of e-mails from your boss. It’s nice until your BlackBerrys gets mixed with sand, sunscreen and multiple whacks of a beach volleyball. My poor old BlackBerry still hasn’t recovered.

Nicole Richie was once infamous for flashing her BlackBerry around ( as with many other things), but lately it seems like she stuffs her BlackBerry in her bag. Here she is in Santa Monica, heading into a meeting at the MTV Studios. Perhaps a Nicole Richie reality TV show?

As you know, we only post what we find on the internet or the pictures you guys send in. We seem to have run out of pictures again! Celebrities just didn’t feel like taking out their BlackBerrys today. That’s fine because, we thought we should take a look back at how this whole BlackBerry Celebrity Phenom all started. From our guess, these three girls are what started this whole trend. Sure, some of the older celebrities (and some young) have been sporting BlackBerrys way before “The Three”. But it wasn’t until these three (who started holding their 8700s in meticulous ways) that really caught the eyes of other d-listers, making this great phone such a coveted accessory. Viva BlackBerry!

Nicole Richie does some intense organizing on her BlackBerry as she last minute plans and shops for her babydaddy’s birthday. Joel and twin brother, Benji Madden, turns 29 today. Happy birthday Madden brothers.

…and we thought we could have guessed the gender of her baby from the colors of the accessories she’s wearing. Red. We’re assuming it’s a devil baby?

 
Nicole Richie is still incredibly thin, however, at least with the added weight from her pregnancy she looks healthy.

Nicole Richie served just under an hour and a half of her 4 day jail sentence. After being booked at 3:15 she had just enough time to take a couple of sips of her bottled water and pound out a couple of emails on her BlackBerry telling her friends how horrible prison is before being released because of overcrowding at 4:37.

Nicole Richie is realling starting to show and I am not talking about the BlackBerry Curve in her hand.

According to TMZ, Nicole Richie was arrested this morning for DUI. She was booked at 4:50 this morning and admitted to police that she had taken Vicodin and smoked marijuana.  Two Motorists spotted Nicole’s SUV driving the wrong way down the 134 Freeway in Burbank.

According to the booking sheet, Nicole is 5′ 1″ and weighs only 85 pounds.

Nicole Richie recently checked herself into a “private facility” to see if they can figure out why she is not able to gain any weight. According to Nicole, following a false CNN report that she had begun treatment for anorexia, state that she does not have an eating disorder.

“Contrary to CNN’s false accusations, I did not check myself into an eating disorder rehab,” she said. “I don’t know why or how this rumor started, but I am home, in L.A., and very happy. I do not have an eating disorder, and I don’t know how many times I have to say it.”

Even Nicole’s dad, Lionel Richie had something to say about the rumors in a recent 20/20 interview.

“Believe me. I’ve checked it out three different ways to Sunday. We went to a couple of doctors and the doctors said, ‘Well, it’s not an eating disorder. She’s just — her nerves affect her weight.’ “
