While some of Rachel Bilson’s Hollywood counterparts are already mending BlackBerry-thumbs caused by their new BlackBerry Bolds, she chooses to stick with her trusty BlackBerry 8700c. Now, if you guys remember from previous posts, you would know that we love the older BlackBerry models. BlackBerrys from the 87XX series work and look great. But what do you guys think? Are the newer models (Pearl, Curve, 8800) really that much better than the older ones?

Rachel Bilson may be updated with all the latest fashions, but her BlackBerry is not. As said before, she once had a Pearl, but has since ditched it and went back to her 8700c. Can you blame her — the 8700s were pretty darn good. Actually, one of us from Celebrity BlackBerry Sightings just bought an 8700g over eBay. Haha, we like it old school.

Last week, we saw Rachel Bilson’s boyfriend, Hayden Christensen, using a BlackBerry 8700c. We’ve seen in the past Rachel using a Pearl–a model that’s more recent than the 8700c. Why would she downgrade her BlackBerry? We know exactly where she’s going with this. Guys like girls who use BlackBerrys…and what better way to flaunt that you use a BlackBerry than to use the exact same model as him?! Smart girl.

For months, we’ve been looking through pictures of Rachel Bilson hoping she’s using a BlackBerry again. But she always seemed to be holding onto a darn T-Mobile Sidekick. Finally! She’s back to using a BlackBerry–a BlackBerry Pearl 8100 to be exact. Perhaps she’s following in the footsteps of Britney Spears. Speaking of footsteps, it looks like Rachel will be making beautiful footprints with the goodie bag of Christian Louboutin she picked up.

Ever since The O.C. ended and Rachel Bilson switched from a BlackBerry to a Sidekick, she seems to be lacking in jobs (that stint in Chuck doesn’t count). Here she is wandering the streets and being comforted by a friend. *Sniff*…perhaps the new BlackBerry 8130 Pearl can help you land a role?
