The big news in the BlackBerry world yesterday wasn’t so much about the celebrities that use them, but, about the official announcement of the the BlackBerry Curve, a.k.a, the BlackBerry every celebrity will want.
I am willing to bet that as soon as the BlackBerry Curve hits the street, every celebrity currently rocking a BlackBerry, Sidekick, Treo, or any other smartphone, will stand in line just to get one. I am sure that yesterday agents, publicists, and managers were inundated by numerous requests from the celebrities they work for asking for that new BlackBerry with the camera and the regular keyboard.

What makes you think every celebrity will want one? What makes you think that every agent was being asked by their stars to get one? I would have thought they all would have wanted a Pearl.

It’s not all-that to me. I don’t see many celebs switching from the 8800 to 8300 this soon.
I’ll take in black, though.

There are a many reasons why I think Celebrities will flock to the BlackBerry Curve but just to give you a few:
1. It’s New — Many celebrities are fickle enough to want the BlackBerry Curve simply because it is new and they can afford it.
2. The MP3 players is actually usable…
3. It has a half decent camera
4. It’s smaller than the 8800

Well, when the blackberry pearl came out, Paris, Nicole, Lindsay, Madonna and everyone else kept their Blackberry 8700’s…so i think it will be kinda uncool in hollywood to get the one with the camera…based on past trends. The 8800 is classier-looking. I think like basketball players and rappers may get it…they are usually the ones who carry like sidekicks and hip type things.

The rappers carry sidekicks.
The Rap Moguls carry blackberrys (Diddy, Jay-Z, Russell S., etc.)

I think that you see more celebrities with the 8700 and 8800 simply because they were used to the full QWERTY keyboard.

when the blackberry bold comes out do you think that it will be the new phone for celebs.? because I’m thinking about getting it when it comes out

On my opinion The Blackberry Bold wont Get most of the Celebrities Attention, its not very different from the curve, i mean it has a 2 megapixel camera and more features like Wifi and 3G but theres aready the Curve 8320 and the Sprint&Verizon Curves with 3G, so its not that special unless you want a Blackberry with the Best Picture Quality. The only Reason why the Curve is so Popular is because it was THE FIRST BLACKBERRY to get a camera WITH A FULL KEYBOARD, and not alot of people like the PEARL.
